Jake Mapes
Professor Jake Mapes is a 3rd Degree Black Belt under Rickson Gracie's lineage. He received his Black Belt in 2009 from Luis Heredia, who is under the legendary Rickson Gracie.
Jake is a former professional baseball player for the San Francisco Giants organization. He transitioned into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which led to a successful professional career in mixed martial arts where he sported a perfect 8-0 record (with only one of those bouts making it to a decision).
After making the decision to retire from fighting, Jake turned his passion for BJJ into a career, training many well-known professional fighters as well as teaching unarmed combative skills to the United States Navy .
